Project Storefront

Bel Air is unique in many ways, one of which is the number and quality of artists living here. The Bel Air Downtown Alliance routinely works with area artists on local events and asks their help in creating the programs and cultural activities that we all enjoy in Downtown Bel Air. These generous individuals always step up and create remarkable works for town residents and visitors to enjoy.

This year the Bel Air Downtown Alliance Design Committee initiated a program called “Project Storefront”. Partnering with the Harford Artist Gallery, the committee identified vacant storefronts that could provide temporary gallery space to showcase the works of local artists. The first gallery showcase is at 8 North Main Street, the former Barely Used Consignment shop window and includes several works by members of the Harford Artists Association. The paintings and artwork are for sale. Purchase information is included on the storefront display.

The Design Committee is working on a second window display location and hopes to broadcast its time and location shortly. Meanwhile, we hope you will visit the new “Project Storefront” display and enjoy the work of these amazingly talented individuals. We also encourage you to spread the word about the opportunities for new or relocating businesses to lease these highly desirable Main Street properties.
